Obituary: Marjorie W. Curtiss, 87

Marjorie W. Curtiss, 87, of Medway and formerly of Southborough, died peacefully on May 27, 2013 surrounded by her family.

Born in Randolph, VT to the late Nellie (Blaisedell) and George Wilber, she was the eldest of four children. Marjorie attended a year of school at Bratton Stratton College in Boston, after graduating from Randolph High School. In July 1951, she married Charles Phillip Curtiss and they resided in Southborough until their divorce. She spent most of her time caring for her family and working at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont. She loved gardening.

She leaves her children, Pamela Jackman and her husband Daniel of Hopedale; Mark Curtiss and his wife Joye of Milton, VT; Richard Curtiss and his husband Charles of Medway; her daughter in law, Kathy Curtiss of Southborough; her sisters, Elva Jean Sargeant of St. Johnsbury, VT and Sylvia Kogurt of Rockingham, VT; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Douglas Curtiss; her granddaughter Alicia Jackman; her sister, Madeline Sanders; and her nephew Stephen Monty
