Spring Fest Carnival for 6th-8th graders – April 4 (Updated)

Trottier students asked for a Carnival and they’re getting one.

This year’s Spring Fest, sponsored by Southborough Youth and Family Services, revolves on the theme voted on by the middle schoolers.

Algonquin volunteers will seek to give the kids a night to remember. Fun will include:

  • Magician
  • Face painter
  • Balloon artist
  • Karaoke
  • Photo booth
  • Carnival food
  • Games and contests
  • Prizes

To participate in Spring Fest, 6-8th graders must have a permission slip completed by a parent/guardian.

SYFS is embracing technology to get their message out. But their ultimate goal is to help kids unplug:

The goal of this event and others we put on, is to provide kids with an alternative for a Friday night and to be unscheduled/unplugged from their many responsibilities, structured activities, and get away from electronics and social media for the night.

Update (3/27/14 11:50 am) I replaced the original flyer, which had wrong time. Please note that the event is 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm.

As explained in the permission slip – students must arrive with signed slip and fee BEFORE 7:30 pm – unless they are accompanied by a parent/guardian at check-in. Students may not leave before 9:30 pm unless a parent/guardian comes inside to pick them up.
