  • Young Scientists (11:30 am – 12:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Free STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program for kids age 3-5 and siblings. Must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver. Register at 508-485-5031.
  • NSPAC’s “Go the Distance” Awards Night (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School, 79 Bartlett St: The Northborough/Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council (NSPAC) will host its 7th annual Appreciation Awards evening. All are welcome to attend the event. Light refreshments will be served.

  • MassHealth Changes and How to Deal with Them (1:00 – 2:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Free presentation. MassHealth is adopting the most sweeping regulatory changes in a decade. Elder Law Attorney Arthur Bergeron of Mirick O’Connell will provide an overview of these changes and discuss how you should adapt to the changes.   • Poetry Workshop Series (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Public Library, main floor: Join several Southborough poets as they review and discuss the work of a featured author and discuss & create poetry of their own. The group meets twice per month. This week’s focus is Edith Sitwell. 
  • Tales & Tails (6:15 – 7:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Children can spend some time reading to a dog. Children must have some reading ability. Registration is required.   • Woodward Gr. 3 Concert/Science Fair (1:30 – 2:30 pm) @ Woodward School Gym: Join 3rd graders for their Memorial Day Performance. They will be performing patriotic songs for families and Southborough seniors.
  • St. Mark’s School Robot Demonstration (4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Do you want to see a robot climb a rope? Do you want to drive a big robot? The robotic team from St. Mark’s School will bring their competition robot to the library for a special demonstration.
  • Author night: Christopher Golden (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Main Floor: The library welcomes back Framingham native Christopher Golden. He is the award-winning, bestselling author of such novels as The Myth Hunters, Wildwood Road, The Boys Are Back in Town, The Ferryman, Strangewood, Of Saints and Shadows, and (with Tim Lebbon) The Map of Moments.   • Flag placement for Memorial Day (6:00 pm) @ Rural Cemetery, Cordaville Road/Route 85: Residents are invited to participate in placing fresh flags on the graves of our Veterans to honor their service to our nation. VFW Post 3276 and American Legion Post 161 will meet volunteers in front of the Maintenance Building at the back of the cemetery.
