Girl Scouts invited to make blankets for homeless children – June 17

All Southborough Girl Scouts are invited to a community service event on Saturday, June 17th. The girls will be making blankets for children living in a local shelter.

To entice young volunteers, the event will end in a create your own sundae party.

All ages are welcome to participate, but Daisy and Brownie troops will need one parent per four kids to stay with them. (Please note, this is a Girl Scout only event, so siblings aren’t included.)

It will be held at Saint Mark’s Church Parish Hall at 27 Main Street, Southborough, MA on June 17 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Please bring new or gently used craft kits or supplies to donate.

The Town wide community service event is organized by Troop 89255.*

The 5th graders are working on their Bronze award. The is is just one of the ways girls are supporting area homeless children. They hope the blankets will provide the children living in a shelter some measure of comfort and security.
