It’s time for another open thread. What’s on your mind this week, Southborough?

For those of you new to the blog, the open discussion thread is your place to ask questions, sound off on town issues, or share information with other readers. Here are some suggestions to get you started:

  • Ask questions about programs in town or the town itself
  • Post a note about things that you’re selling or giving away, or things that you want
  • Share notices about upcoming events (Southborough or otherwise)
  • Register your thoughts on town issues or news stories
  • Point out interesting or helpful resources

You can add comments to the thread throughout the week. Check back often to see new comments. (If you read the blog via email or RSS, you might want to check the site from time to time for new comments.)

I asked this on the last open thread but didn’t get a response, so I will try again. Anyone know what is going on with the parcel of land at Main and Newton? I have seen some clearing and wondering if something “big” is happening. Either way it is nice to see it cleaned up a bit.

Good question! I can’t remember what I’ve heard, but the Conservation Commission (Town House) would know. -just for the need for their approval.

That listing isn’t really for 1 Main Street. The listing tripped me up in the past. I made the mistake of taking the address at face value when I shared the listings for the week. In fact, it isn’t 1 Main Street. It’s a lot designated as Lot 1 and it’s on Main Street. But it is definitely not that location.

(If you are curious about the listing, you can read more in comments under – this September 2017 post.)
