The Rotary Club of Southborough will present its annual recognition of Service award . . . Rotary focuses on providing “Service Above Self” and each year the club also recognizes someone in Southborough who has provided outstanding service to the town. This year the club is pleased to recognize Karen Fournier as the 2018 award winner and also confer the 2017 award to Jeff Beane.

So, what makes these two residents deserving of the recognition? The Rotary explains:

Mr. Beane’s work with the Rec Dept and coaching at Trottier has been invaluable. Supportive, flexible, patience and kind, Mr. Beane has served many younger residents for many years.

Ms. Fournier’s work at St. Matthew’s particular with the youth ministry and the Mississippi service trip appreciated and noteworthy.

The celebration will be held at St. Mark’s School, in Taft Hall of the Putnam Family Arts Center at 5:30 pm. It will be followed by St. Mark’s annual Cutler Jazz Festival at 6:30 pm. The concert takes place in Class of ’45 Hall, located in the same building.

Parking is available in the SM Athletics Parking lot off Rt 85 (north of Taft Hall).
