Unlike the rest of Algonquin, its student athletes don’t have this week off. In fact, four teams are competing in tournaments over the break.
But first, here are some highlights from last week:
- The Telegram’s high school hockey columnist talked up the ARHS Boys team – Chris Kyne’s hockey notes: Experience should keep Algonquin on top
ARHS Girls Hockey sent “support and well wishes” – in the form of cards – to a 12 year old Weymouth girl (and youth hockey player) undergoing cancer treatments over Christmas. Carly Silva wished for people to send her cards and the Girls team was one of many to respond. (Click on thumbnail right for the team’s tweeted pic.)
- ARHS Boys Basketball’s Alex Karaban was caught on video by @THawkTweets delivering “an absolute beautiful fast break dunk” to cap off their win over Marlborough last Tuesday. (Click here if you can’t see it below.)
