Snow update: Library closed, 2-4″ today, 8-12″ Sun night into Mon

Yesterday, Southborough Emergency Management’s Lt Neal Aspesi shared that Southborough’s first snow day this year may be this Monday.

Kids shouldn’t get too excited. It’s way too far out to make the official call on that.

What is officially closed is the Southborough Library today.

The snow isn’t forecast to stop for at least a few hours, with a slight chance of continuing into the evening. But the National Weather forecast is also a maximum of  3-4″. (The map from early this morning puts us in the 2-3″ band. But the text forecast from later this morning says up to 4″.)

The real storm is Sunday night. Current forecasts show that as most likely to start at about 6:00 pm and accumulate 8-12 inches by Monday morning. It may continue into or past the morning commute.
