Southborough Gardeners scholarship applications due April 15

The Southborough Gardeners are promoting their annual scholarship program. Applications are due Monday, April 15. 

Take note if a student you know is currently studying, or planning to major in any of the following Arts or Sciences related to:

  • Horticulture
  • Floral Design
  • Environmental Studies
  • Ecology
  • Conservation
  • Agriculture
  • Botany
  • Landscape Architecture/Design
  • other related fields

The town-based club is offering $1,000 in assistance that could be dedicated to one student or split between two qualified:

The Southborough Gardeners have established a scholarship to be awarded to a student who has been accepted to a school of higher education or is presently attending college in one of the following fields: Art, Sciences related to Horticulture, Floral Design, Environmental Studies, Ecology, Conservation, Agriculture, Botany, Landscape Architecture/Design, or other related fields. To be eligible, the candidate must be a two year resident of Southborough and must demonstrate scholastic achievement and good citizenship. The amount of the award this year is $1000. This may be divided between two qualified candidates at the discretion of the scholarship committee. Applications must be received by April 15, 2019.
