Southborough Democrats to elect delegates at caucus – Saturday

Next week’s Town Election isn’t the only race that politically involved residents want you to pay attention to. All Southborough Democrats are invited to attend the the party’s caucus this weekend. The purpose is to help elect delegates to the state convention in September.

Here are the details:

Registered Democrats in Southborough will hold a caucus to elect delegates and alternates to the 2019 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. Doors will open at 10:30 AM and the Caucus will begin at 11:00 AM.

This year’s state convention will be held September 14th at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, where thousands of Democrats from across the state will come together to discuss party business and celebrate our successes as we prepare for upcoming elections.

The caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Southborough. Pre-registered Democrats who will be 16 by May 11, 2019 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. Youth, minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate may apply to be an add-on delegate, either by attending the caucus or applying online at www.massdems.org.
