  • Friends of the Library – HOLA fundraiser (lunch and dinner) @ HOLA Restaurante & Tequila Bar: A portion from each pickup order for takeout to The Friends of the Southborough Library – no code needed.   • Growing A Summer Salad Workshop (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ zoom: This workshop is part of the Southborough Library’s “Dig In! Garden Information Series”. Blackstone Valley Veggie Gardens will hold a special zoom session on gardening topics twice monthly. Anyone 12 or older can pre-register through Southborough Recreation. This session’s topic is: Growing A Summer Salad Is there anything more refreshing in the summer than a homegrown salad? We’ll give you the basics on lettuce, tomato, and cucumber growing.   • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:00 am) @ Facebook Live: Children’s Librarian “Miss Kim” will hold a story time for ages 2-6 (siblings welcome). Each week will feature themed stories on Facebook Live with Ms. Kim! No registration necessary (Note: You don’t have to have a Facebook account to watch the Library’s videos, which are still viewable after the live event is over.)

  • Art on the Trails Installation Weekend (10:00 am – 5:00 pm) @ Beals Preserve: Visit Beals Preserve to watch the artists install their work for the annual outdoor art exhibit along the Southborough Open Land Foundation’s trails.   • Derby & Movie Night flyerMovie Night & Home Run Derby (4:00 pm) @ Eric Green Field (Mooney Park at Finn School): Southborough Little League is hosting its annual fun community event. All are welcome. AAA Home Run Derby, followed by Majors Home Run Derby. (No pre-registration needed for AAA and Majors players to participate in Derby.)   • Beecology Research Garden Tour (10:00 – 11:00 am) @ Breakneck Hill Conservation Land: Tour of the beecology Garden at Breakneck Hill. Dr. Robert Gegear, professor of biology at UMass Dartmouth, will give updates on his projects at Breakneck Hill and discuss his two newest research projects. A joint project of Southborough’s Open Space Preservation Commission and the Stewardship Committee. (Stay tuned for more info.)
