Don’t forget to lockup your valuables and your vehicles

Southborough Police issued a post on Facebook about thefts reported this past weekend. It’s a reminder of why they ask residents to lock up vehicles in their driveways and on the street.

On Saturday, August 14th at approx. 4 am, Officers responded to the Birchwood Drive area to investigate a report of a male suspect entering motor vehicles. The reporting party witnessed an individual entering a vehicle that was parked at a neighbor’s driveway, and yelled out to the individual to leave the area. The male then left the area quickly in a waiting vehicle that was parked on Latisquama Road. The area was thoroughly searched by the responding officers, but the suspect had left the area. Through further investigation it was determined that the male suspect had entered multiple vehicles and had taken a variety of items. The thefts are currently under investigation, and if anyone has any further information, we are asking that you please contact Lt. Ryan Newell or Det. Steve Neivert at (508) 485-2121.

*A reminder to our residents to please keep your vehicles and homes locked and secured, and to not leave any valuables inside your unattended vehicles. Thank you.
