  • Outdoor Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library’s back lawn: Join Miss Kim on the lawn (weather permitting) for stories and craft based on a weekly theme. Please bring a blanket or chair. No registration required.

  • Alternative Medicine: Marijuana (1:00 – 2:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Part of the Senior Center’s Alternative Medicine series for seniors. This session focuses on Marijuana’s Medicinal & Recreational Uses. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Strength Training Class for seniors (8:30 am) @ zoom: Pre-registration required. For details on semi-weekly class, see newsletter.
  • Book Bugs: Farm Fun for Little Ones (10:00 – 11:00 am) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration (and fee) required. For ages 2 to 6 years old, adult supervision required (siblings under 1 yr old can attend for free). Bring your little bug. . . to the farm for an interactive children’s story time. We’ll read a farm story, make a craft, and explore the farm! Each day will have a different theme such as “Goats and Sheep,” “What is a Seed,” or “How Veggies Grow.” For details, see dedicated post.

  • Autumn Fair Volunteer Meeting (12:00 – 1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Come for “a bite to eat” and find out how you can become a volunteer for the annual Friends of the COA Autumn Fair. There are plenty of opportunities to help with the event (scheduled for November 20th, 2021). Support the Friends, share the load, and become a member of our awesome team.
  • Bridge (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Knitting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Knitters, welcoming new members. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Tuesday Tech Time (4:00 – 5:00 pm and 7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library Teen Room: Need help with technology? Library staff and teen volunteers will make every effort to assist you. Bring questions about ebooks and electronic resources. This is a drop in event; no registrations necessary. Sessions are limited to no more than 1 hour.
  • Outdoor Cook Book Club (6:00 – 7:00 pm) @ Southborough Library Lawn: Choose a dish from a cookbook of your choice and bring it in to share with other group members — and try their dish! Fill in choices by emailing msorensen@southboroughma.com. This group will meet outside on the Library Lawn.

  • Outdoor Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library’s back lawn: Join Miss Amy on the lawn (weather permitting) for stories and craft based on a weekly theme. Please bring a blanket or chair. No registration required.
  • Food Truck Festival (3:30 – 6:30 pm) @ St. Mark’s meadow (corner of Rte 85 and Rte 30): A community event series organized by the Southborough Rotary Club this fall. At the event, Rotary will be collecting donations for Sweats For Vets in exchange for food vouchers from Main Street Bank. The truck lineup for this evening is Say Cheese, Teddy Lunch Box, DogFather, Grub Guru, and Trombetta’s Farm Ice Cream. For details, see dedicated posts.
  • Book Bugs: Farm Fun for Little Ones (10:00 – 11:00 am) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration (and fee) required. For ages 8 years old to adult. Join us to build a special home for some magical woodland creatures.   • Wellness Series: Learning Yoga Nidra (6:00 – 7:00 pm) @ zoom: The free Wellness Series workshop is offered through a partnership between the Southborough Library and Jill Vroman Fitness & Wellness. This session, join Jill and Dr. Patty Hlava on the benefits Yoga Nidra. Experience the bliss and relaxation from restorative Yoga Nidra and learn how it can improve your immune system, your sleep and help your body get restored.   • Outdoor Preschool Yoga (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library’s back lawn: Join Certified Kids’ Yoga Instructor Mandy Roberge as she takes children through a series of yoga postures, using games, music, and literacy activities. Yoga mats will be provided. Ages 3-6. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library. Registration required.
  • All About Goats (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration (and fee) required. Get up close and personal with the goats of Chestnut Hill Farm! We will have a hands-on learning experience with our goats including fun goat facts, what goats eat, how to care for them, and more.   • Read to a Dog Outside (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library Lawn: Children preferably ages 5 and up with some reading ability will read to a certified therapy dog.   • College bound webinar: College List (7:30 – 8:30 pm) @ zoom: Iridium Tutor is offering free webinars for college bound students creating and finalizing a list of colleges. College students from Brown University will offer their insight. Register to learn factors to consider when choosing colleges. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A period.   • Guided History Hike on Future Trail (1:00 pm) @ Fayville Park: Join the Trails Committee and Mass DCR for a guided 3 mile hike on a future section of the Boroughs Loop/Aqueduct Trail (a.k.a Peninsula Trail).   • Art on the Trails Closing Poetry Walk (3:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Beals Preserve: Closing Reception with Poetry Reading. The closing ceremony for the 2021 Art on the Trails exhibit will feature Poets reading their work along the trail in response to art installations. For more on Art on the Trails see dedicated posts.
