It’s all about trucks at the Fire Department

Earlier this month I wrote about Southborough’s only ladder truck being out of commission. Now the Fire Department has recommended the purchase of a new 100-foot ladder truck to the Board of Selectmen.

The ladder truck they recommend, known as a quint, is equipped with a pump, water tank, hoses, aerial ladder and ground ladders. Cost is around $900K, which translates to a $28/year tax increase for each resident over the course of 10 years. Read the full story in the Metrowest Daily News.
