Unemployment numbers across the board held relatively steady for the month of July. In Southborough’s case, that means the jobless rate of 6.8% was unchanged from last month. It’s our highest rate in 17 years. Compared to July 2008, the unemployment rate in Southborough is up a whopping 79%.
The overall rate for Massachusetts ticked up slightly from 8.7% to 8.9%. National numbers were unchanged.
