Garden party at the Southborough Library on Friday

Throughout the summer, the Southborough Gardeners and Rocky’s Landscaping have been working on making the Southborough Library an even lovelier place to visit, and now the library wants to say thanks by throwing a garden party.

The party will take place on Friday, September 24 on the west lawn of the library. All are welcome to attend to celebrate the new garden space and seating area, and to thank the Southborough Gardeners for their generous donation.

“Rocky’s Landscaping has done the work, and the Southborough Gardeners have donated plants and their time planting and weeding throughout the summer,” Library Director Jane Cain said in an email. “It really is beautiful!” Cain also said the Southborough Gardeners will maintain the area going forward.

The garden party starts at 11:00 am. Light refreshments will be served. In the event of rain, the party will be postponed to October 1.

What a lovely idea! The Southborough Library is deceiving – it seems so small, yet every time I’ve visited they have something wonderful to read & plenty of newer books. Such a great spot. Congrats!

Thats beautiful. Maybe the Gardener’s and Rocky’s next beautification project can be the corner of Lynbrook Rd and Main St. It looks like a dump.
