UPDATED: Trottier closed tomorrow due to ‘large amount of snow’ on the roof

Trottier Middle School will be closed all day on Thursday because of issues with heavy snow on the roof. In a message to parents Gobron said, “A large amount of snow and ice has drifted and accumulated on parts of the roof. Crews are presently working on removing the snow, but the necessary work will not be done in time for classes to be held tomorrow.”

Other Southborough schools will be open as planned open after a two-hour delay.

I’ll update this post if I get any more information, so check back.

Update 8:35 pm: Dr. Gobron said they are working with the town to clear off the roofs at all the schools, but Trottier posed the most concern. “With this weather we are trying to be proactive with all of our buildings,” he said. Once the snow and ice is cleared off the roof at Trottier, Gobron said the building “should be all set.”

Update 7:25 am: Southborough schools are operating on a two-hour delay this morning. There will be no morning kindergarten. Trottier remains closed for the day.
