Town scholarship fund needs your support

We all know that in an economy like this one, every little bit helps. And no more so than for a kid heading off to college. Southborough has awarded scholarships to town graduates for more than 20 years. Now the town needs your help to keep the program going:

The Southborough Town Scholarship Committee has provided college scholarships to deserving Southborough high school seniors and undergraduates since 1988. Scholarships are based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, community service and work experience, and financial need. We are in urgent need of funds to continue these scholarships.

To make a contribution, please send a check made payable to “The Southborough Scholarship Fund” and mail it to:  The Town of Southborough, Attention: Brian Ballantine, 17 Common Street, Southborough, MA  01772.

Thank you for your consideration.

I hope those that are able will continue to fund this worthy program. Remember it is very easy to also contribute each time you make a real estate tax payment.
