MWDN: Southborough looks to save by combining positions

Two Southborough departments are looking to save some cash by sharing an administrative assistant. Reports the Metrowest Daily News:

As part of an ongoing effort to save money on administrative services, the Board of Health and assessors’ office plan to share an administrative assistant beginning in December.

“We’re going to see how it goes,” Public Health Director Paul Pisinski said of the effort, which he expected the Board of Health to approve Friday night.

The town has routinely instructed departments to see whether jobs could be modified or combined following attrition, Assistant Town Administrator Vanessa Hale said.
