Southborough Food Pantry says thanks times a hundred

On another snow day like this, it might be hard to believe, but. . . Southborough students just celebrated their 100th day of school this week.

In celebration, Principal Randall issued Woodward and Finn K-3rd graders a challenge. He asked each classroom to collect 100 donations to the Southborough Food Pantry.

According to the grateful Food Pantry, the drive was a great success:

Mr. Randall’s Schools, Finn and Woodward, celebrated the 100th day of the school year today by having each room bring in 100 items for the Southborough Food Pantry. The response was amazing!

It took 3 drivers several trips each to get everything to the Pantry!

It took 11 volunteers, starting just around 11:45 until 2:00 to date, sort, box and stock the Pantry with the donations.

  • Thank you to the families of Southborough who donated to us today through their children.
  • Thank you to Mr. Randall and the staff at both schools.
  • And an especially big thank you to the mothers who had to load everything in their cars and bring it to the pantry!

The pantry also asked me to share that they are closed for expected snow tomorrow, Friday, February 14.

The kids loved seeing the tower of food grow in the lobby at Woodward.
