This evening, the Southborough Police Department issued a request for public assistance through the CodeRed system.
They are looking for any information related to a suspicious approach to a juvenile in town this afternoon.
The incident occured at approximately 12:40 pm on Banfill Lane. Lt. Sean James announced:
A suspicious motorist asked a female juvenile who was riding a bike her name and if she wanted a ride home. The subject is described as a white male, operating a white Jeep Wrangler with a white hardtop.
It should be noted that there was no attempt at abduction. The female was able to ride her bike away from the subject and the subject fled the area.
Lt. James asked anyone who has information that could help to call 508-485-2121.
