Next week, Algonquin Regional will ask students to pledge to stop use of “the R-word”. The program is sponsored by ARHS Best Buddies.
Best Buddies’ forges friendships between students with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other students. The ARHS and Westborough programs teamed up to bring in a motivational comedian for their R-word Awareness Week.
Kevin Wanzer promises to empower audiences “one laugh at a time”. His humorous and inspirational talks will address acceptance of all people regardless of their background or ability.
Algonquin will host the speaker on Friday, March 31st with a student presentation during the day.
