The public is invited to sign up to attend a “celebration” of the women’s suffrage movement at the Southborough Library in two weeks. The returning presenter is one who gained popularity by incorporating tastings into all of her talks.
Playing on that theme, the new Klassic Kreations program is themed “Women Who Stirred the Teapot”. The event will include free samples of teas and chocolates.
Klassic Kreations is the brand for presenter Kim Larkin, “a commercial chocolatier and tea aficionado”. Larkin has given past talks at the Southborough Library that tied chocolates and/or teas (sometimes paired with other foods and beverages) into a variety of topics.
Larkin appears to have crafted her latest program earlier this year for celebrations of our nation’s 250th anniversary. The library has booked the workshop on “The Suffrage Revolution” for our community to enjoy on Saturday, November 7th from 12:00 – 1:30 pm.
Pre-registration is required and space is limited. (So, don’t wait until the last minute.) The library promotes:
Come join Kim Larkin, commercial chocolatier and tea aficionado, of Klassic Kreations, celebrate the bold women who birthed the suffrage revolution over a pot of tea and chocolate samplings. We will be highlighting the tenacity of Ida B. Wells, Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott and many more movers and shakers from that era. Highlights include the tea party that launched the suffrage movement, interactive trivia and your choice of vintage hats to set the mood. Teas and chocolate samplings will be served, so come celebrate these trailblazers at this inspiring program.
