Southborough job listings: Part-time at Playtown Express and St. Mark’s Church; Full-time for Town (and more?)

A couple of organizations have asked me to share their openings for jobs based in town.

While I’m at it, I’m also including a full-time position the Town has posted. (The preferred deadline for applying to the Town’s position is this Friday.)

Playtown Express

Two part-time positions:

  • Mother’s hours
    Monday through Friday 9:45-3. The hours may vary a bit, weather dependent. The applicant must enjoy working with children, possess great people skills, energetic, reliable and honest.
  • Weekend Supervisor
    Hours would be flexible. Looking for someone that is energetic, reliable, honest, posses great people skills and that has the ability to manage staff. Prior experience in a supervisory position preferred however not required.

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church

Two part-time positions: 

  • Parish Coordinator (16 hrs/wk)
    (Reports to the Rector) The collaborative team player we seek is a central hub for the staff and is frequently the first person people contact at the parish, so a personable disposition is a must. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently are needed in this role, as well as the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Our coordinator will be at the center of St. Mark’s making connections with our newer members and leveraging today’s technologies to assist in maintaining personal connections with our members. Candidates should enjoy working with people in a multi-tasking environment; possess strong computer, interpersonal and communication skills; and have the ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers. Familiarity or experience with the Episcopal Church, or similar liturgical denomination, is preferred. Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.   • Parish Bookkeeper (5-7 hrs/wk)
    (Reports to the Rector) The collaborative team player we seek needs to possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently, as well as the ability to handle confidential and financial information with discretion. Candidates should possess strong computer, interpersonal and communication skills; and have the ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers. Associate’s Degree or higher is preferred. Town of Southborough

  • Business Administrator-Planning Department (full-time)
    The Town of Southborough seeks applicants for Business Administrator to the Planning Board. This FT benefitted position requires a team player with excellent customer service, superior organizational & computer skills. Duties include providing information to the public, town officials, staff and applicants. Experience in municipal government and office management is desirable. Tasks include administrative support to Board/Town Planner, meeting preparation, assisting applicants with permitting process, handling accounts payable and related duties, responding to inquiries in all manner of communication and other projects as assigned by Board/Town Planner. Position requires BA/BS degree, 3-5 yrs of related experience. Midpoint of pay range is $25.00/hr.
