Town asking people to stay off roads

The Town of Southborough used its code red system to send out alerts to the community. A recorded outgoing phone message asked residents to stay off the roads, unless it is an emergency, due to the number of downed trees and power lines.

Here is the text they sent out:

(Southborough – Pub Info Winter Storm) Multi trees limbs live wires down in town 70% out Stay off roads & away from trees and wires Updates on Sboro Emerg Mgt Agency facebook & @SEMA01772 Twitter Ty

The phone call actually went even further, cautioning residents to stay inside.

If you didn’t get a call or text, you may want to consider signing up for future alerts. Click here to learn more.

Fayville lights are still off. Main St. has power at the eastern end. There is some progress. Below 50 in my place.
