The Southborough Town Scholarship Advisory Committee selected five recent high school graduates to receive awards. The awards were presented athe August 17th meeting of the Board of Selectmen.

All scholarships are funded through donations.

The graduates were all members of Algonquin Regional’s Class of 2021. Below are more details on each, along with pictures of the award winners posing with parents, Scholarship Advisory Committee member Alexandra Mills, and selectmen. (Click on Thumbnails to enlarge.)

In selecting applicants, the Southborough Town Scholarship Advisory Committee takes into consideration academics, extracurricular activities, work and volunteer experiences, financial need, as well as written expression.

The Carroll Harris Memorial Scholarship is based on the above criteria, plus the applicant must have participated in gymnastics, plan to major in physical education, education, or recreation, or have demonstrated active participation in a town recreation program.
