The Southborough Library is inviting tweens and teens to join a community service event next week with the “Teen Library Team”. They will be making blankets to donate to kids in need. The library’s flyer promotes:

Teen Library Team No Sew Fleece BlanketsCalling tween & teen volunteers to make no sew fleece blankets to be donated to children in need through Project Linus. Help make a cozy blanket with the easy method of just snipping and tying knots with friends at the library!

For ages 10 and up. No registration necessary.

Participation can be counted towards volunteer credit.

The non-profit Project Linus “provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need”.

The volunteers will gather this Tuesday afternoon, April 23rd from 4:00 – 5:00 pm in the Eaton Room downstairs.

This program was made possible with support from the Friends of the Southborough Library
