Here are highlights of what’s happening around (or related to) our town this weekend through next weekend. Plus, a quick look at the greater region over the holiday weekend.
Scroll to the bottom for info on additional activities and camps this summer.*
(The gray font below is for previously established long running events that take place weekly or bi-weekly.)
Friday, July 4, 2025 – Independence Day (and the long weekend)
Town offices & facilities are closed for the holiday. (This weekend also marks the start of the Southborough Library’s summer hours, so they’ll be closed on Saturday, too.)
There aren’t any special events in town this long weekend. The only action I could find in directly abutting towns was concerts being put on Friday through Sunday at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts.
For fireworks, there isn’t anything nearby. The most famous in our region is Boston Pops‘ extravaganza. CBS News posted other towns in the state, and it looks like Acton is the closest. You can check out their list here. (As owners of skittish dogs can tell you, you can also expect to hear people randomly setting off illegal fireworks over the weekend.)
