Raymond M. Cibelli, 93, of Northborough and a long-time resident of Southborough, passed away on July 10, 2025, after a brief illness.
Ray was born in Marlborough, MA, the son of Aldo and Eunice (Fay) Cibelli. He joins his wife, Vernelle (Thomas) Cibelli, who passed away on July 1, 2016. They were married for 65 years. Ray is predeceased by his brothers, Lee and Bob and his sister, Anne. He is survived by his sister Pauline Erickson. Ray is also survived by his children, Cynthia Foster, Ed and Diane Cibelli, Elaine Cibelli, Carol Cibelli and Bill Haxton, John and Dawn Cibelli, Paul and Heidi Cibelli and Katherine Cibelli and his grandchildren, Sarah and Julia Cibelli and Morgan and Dylan Lindsey.
Ray graduated from Worcester Trade High School in 1949. He worked for various plumbing companies over the years with the longest at Patten’s Plumbing in Hopkinton. Ray ended his career with a retirement job at Grasseschi Plumbing in Worcester, which was the best job he ever had.
Ray was always busy doing home maintenance and gardening. He and Vernelle enjoyed their visits to Cape Cod and had many wonderful times at their camp house in Jonesport, Maine.
Visitation for Ray will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 5:00-7:00PM at the Morris-Johnston Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough, MA 01772. A private funeral Mass and burial will be held by Ray’s family.
Ray’s family is grateful for the wonderful care that he received at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester, MA.
