Two weeks ago, I shared Southborough Recreation’s for submissions to a “collaborative mural” planned at the intersection of Richards and Cordaville roads. Now, I’m sharing their pics showing off the results.
Partnering with Rec, a twentysomething Southborough artist project converted the ugly traffic control box at the corner of a busy road into a colorful “community garden” mural.
The project was spearheaded by Southborough’s Keara McHaffie, featuring drawings of flowers that the community was encouraged to submit.
On Facebook, Rec posted last week:
We’re excited to announce that our partnership with local artist Keara McHaffie for the Traffic Control Box Art Project at the corner of Richard Road & Cordaville Road is officially complete! 🎨🌸
Keara did an outstanding job, and we’re so thankful to her for bringing some color, creativity, and light to Southborough! 💐
We’re also thrilled to share that we received over 20 submissions of flowers for the project! 🌷🌼 Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this community project so special.
We highly recommend driving by to check it out—you might even spot your flower on the finished artwork! 🌻
