Obituary: Thomas Michael Paquette, 80

Thomas Michael Paquette, 80, of Marlborough and formerly of Southborough, died peacefully Saturday, May 10, 2025, while surrounded by his family.

Tom was the son of the late Leo and Vernanne (Dubay) Paquette and the beloved husband of Rachel Marlena (Covert) Paquette for 57 years.

Along with his wife Rachel, he is survived by those whose lives he has forever enriched: his children, Gia D’Ercole and her husband Christopher of Southborough, Dave Paquette and former daughter-in-law Rosangela Paquette of Florida, Marc Paquette and his wife Genevieve of Needham, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Stephany, Angelina, Tommy, Luc, Leo and Evan. He is also survived by his sisters, Judy Makowske, Maryanne Frank, Jeananne Krejci and Kate Abbe. He was predeceased by his eldest sister Karen Neunsinger.

In 1966, Tom earned his BA in Philosophy from St. Paul (Now St. Thomas) College in St. Paul, MN and in 1967 did further graduate work at the Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. Later that same year, he began his career at Honeywell in Minnesota (and met Rachel, the love of his life). He relocated to Boston in 1970 and launched an accomplished career as a software product leader in the Boston area until his retirement in 2005.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Tom’s visitation, which will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Morris-Johnston Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough, MA 01772, and a graveside service, which will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Southborough Rural Cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road, Southborough, MA 01772.
