The Town is promoting four positions they are actively seeking to fill. Two of them appear to be new ones (with one working directly for the Greater Boroughs Partnership). While I’m sharing those, I’m also adding the latest jobs advertised for Southborough schools and Algonquin.

Town of Southborough

  • Building Dept – Business Admin (full-time)
     
    Position requires knowledge of Mass. General Laws, related municipal policies, Building/Zoning codes and office operations.
     
    Duties include assisting the public with inquiries, coordinating communication between inspectors, contractors, property owners, and other municipal departments; ensuring department workflows align with government regulations; providing guidance on permitting, zoning, and code enforcement procedures; assisting with complaint resolution in a tactful manner; supporting legal and regulatory proceedings by organizing documentation & coordinating with municipal legal counsel and monitoring fee collection(s). Pay range $27.32-$31.38/hour. (Apply by October 1st for preference.)

The Greater Boroughs Partnership for Health

  • Regional Public Health Agent (full-time)
     
    Position (employed through the Town of Northborough) provides services to Northborough, Southborough, Westborough, and Boylston. Seeking candidates experienced in safe food handling practices and food inspections to conduct comprehensive reviews of the sanitary conditions and food handling practices in licensed establishments. The individual may investigate complaints and reports of unsanitary conditions and food borne illnesses, and conduct other environmental health inspections, as needed.
     
    A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Public Health or other related field and one to two years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience required. Registered Sanitarian, Soil Evaluator and Title 5 Septic System Inspector within an agreed upon time at hire. Salary range $79,500 – $85,000. (Apply by October 2nd.)
