[Highlights from last week’s competitions and what’s on tap this week in Algonquin Regional High School varsity sports.]
Most of Algonquin’s varsity teams will hit the fields (or court) for their first real game of the season this week — including three this afternoon.
The only Titans teams not scheduled to compete this week are Boys & Girls Cross Country. Their first competition isn’t scheduled for a couple of weeks.
Last week, Boys Golf got a jump on the other sports, playing against both Wachusett and Shrewsbury. Unfortunately, they lost both competitions. But according to the Telegram, one of the Titans players had a good opening game last Tuesday:
Zach Dreyer earned medalist honors for Algonquin with an even-par 35.
