The library is offering more opportunities for crafty kids this fall. A new season of “Crafternoons” launches this month with workshops. Plus, for older kids who don’t need guidance, the library is continuing a new series they kicked off this summer — “Craft & Create”.
All of the sessions take place Wednesday afternoons from 4:30 – 5:30 pm on the Library’s main floor.
Craft & Create
Drop-in fun for ages 10+ years old
This series gives kids access to the libraries supplies to create their own crafts. No registration is required. For September and October, the theme is jewelry.
First up next week is a beaded jewelry making session on September 16th. On October 7th, patrons are invited to come make friendship bracelets.

Crafternoons
Workshops for ages 8–12 years old
This monthly series led by popular crafter Mandy Roberge has limited space and requires pre-registration.
First up this month is a Pencil Cup workshop on September 30th to help kids add a little fun to the organization of their homework supplies.

[Note: For the 12 year olds, there’s a second crafting opportunity the evening of the second Crafternoon. At 6:00 pm on on October 21st, Roberge will lead a workshop for adults and teens ages 12+. That one will focus on painting mandela mini-pumpkins. You can read about and sign up for that here.]
