On two nights next week, the public is invited to spend 50 minutes with the “timeless” sisters — Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy March. The Algonquin winter play “Little Women” will be performed on the school’s small stage.

Unlike the large scale production each fall in the auditorium, the GonkStage winter show is a non-musical play performed by a small cast in the BlackBox Theater.

This year, students will perform an adaptation of the classic American tale, Louisa May Alcott’s “Little Women”.

As most readers are probably familiar, Alcott’s “timeless” tale focuses on four sisters growing up in Massachusetts during the Civil War. ARHS’ production is based Marisha Chamberlin’s “heartfelt” script, a shortened adaptation of the novel.

The play will be performed on Thursday, March 12th and Friday, March 13th. Tickets can be purchased here for $5 each.
