Order NECC student-made gift bags for special celebrations

There are a variety of themes for birthdays and year round special occasions, plus some custom options.

In December, I posted about New England Center for Children’s seasonal/custom gift bags. I’m revisiting the topic today to remind readers that it’s not just about the winter holidays!

Gift bag options include themes appropriate for year round celebrations, plus custom orders for weddings and other special occasions.

The institute for students with autism includes a vocational services program for students ages 14 and older. One of the job programs available for students is assembling the gift bags.

The school promotes:

Gift bag assembly provides students the opportunity to practice work skills such as following directions, completing tasks to criterion, completing seated work, accepting feedback, incorporating feedback into their work performance, and increasing duration of work. Students are paid minimum wage for gift bag assembly!

Orders can usually be ready for pickup within a couple of days. But some custom orders may need a little more lead time. (And if you need them shipped, build in some extra time for that.)

Fabric options vary depending on availability. Genres include Halloween, Fall, Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza, Winter, Boston Sports, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Birthday, School-themed (apples, puzzle pieces), and generic (patterns, floral, etc.) Plus, they can work with you on bags for weddings and baby showers.

Prices range from $1.50 to $3 per bag, and come in sized small, medium, medium-long, and large. (See the order form for dimensions.)

You can also buy a bundle for $15 (3 small, 2 medium, 1 medium long, 2 large). (See examples from a past year below.)
