Every year, area senior citizens are welcomed to a special free conference hosted by our district’s state senator. This year’s event is scheduled for Thursday, April 23rd.

The 45th annual Senior Conference will include entertainment, free meals, raffle prizes, and giveaways. Activities and entertainment planned will include speakers, workshops, yoga, zumba, an art session, and music.

Attorney General Andrea Campbell will be a featured speaker. The event is put on by State Senator Jamie Eldridge.

No registration is required to attend.

Eldridge’s office’s Save the Date announced:

The Senior Conference is designed to offer seniors a day filled with valuable information, entertainment, and educational workshops led by expert guest speakers on topics such as aging well, downsizing, and more to be announced! Senator Eldridge also provides a free breakfast and a delicious lunch prepared by the culinary students of Assabet Valley.

“Our Senior Conference is one of my favorite traditions each year because it brings together seniors from across the district for a day of connection, learning, and celebration. We’ll provide critical information, engaging workshops, entertainment, a free breakfast and lunch, and of course some fun raffle prizes – including the Big Chair from Bouvier Pharmacy in Marlborough! I look forward to hearing directly from seniors about their concerns, sharing updates on the work we’re doing on Beacon Hill, and continuing our efforts to make Massachusetts a place where seniors can truly thrive.”

The event is scheduled for 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, 215 Fitchburg St, Marlborough.

At this point, the event page is still showing the 2025 event details. But I confirmed that many of the speakers and activities will overlap with last year.

The yoga, zumba instructors are returning along with speakers Ellen Feinsand and Charlie Pasewark, and ArtSpace organizers. “Featured vendors” will include the Attorney General’s office, Massachusetts Senior Games, and senior resources like Springwell and Minuteman Senior Services.

This year’s musical performer is the the Romeo Solo (which appears to be half of last year’s act, the Romeos Duo.)
