As part of their celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, Southborough Youth & Family Services is partnering with Southborough Recreation to put on a Mindful Art event a week from Friday.
The event will embrace this year’s MHAM theme “Grow Where You’re Planted: Building Resilience Through Community Roots”. SYFS promotes that at the session:
Participants will create art exploring personal roots and supports and contribute to a collaborative nature mandala. The program is designed to encourage creativity, relaxation, resilience, and community connection. No art experience is needed.
The free event is open to anyone 5 years old or older. (It’s a merging of two previously promoted programs — one for families and one for adults only.) Participants under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
The session will take place on Friday, May 22nd, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Southborough Senior Center (9 Cordaville Road).
Pre-registration is required. Please sign up here.
