It’s time for an update on Algonquin’s post-season journeys. Unfortunately, it’s the final one for this school year. Teams that were still in it last week, didn’t win it.
ARHS Boys Rugby won’t be moving on to the Division 2 finals. In an upset on Friday, the top seed Gonk team lost their semi-finals against 4th seed Brookline 14-42.
ARHS Tennis Teams also fell out of their tourneys. Both were shutout in their Sweet 16 challenges to upper seed teams. For D2, the 10th seed Boys Tennis lost 0-5 to 7th seed Sharon. The 21st seed Division 1 Girls team lost 0-5 to 5th seed Lexington.
The Outdoor Track & Field teams sent several members to compete in the MIAA Meet of Champions last week. The best result was Stephen Green’s 10th place finish in the 2 miles race. (You can view the full results here.)
