The Dept of Public Works is warning about an “Upcoming Gas Main Replacement Work – Cherry Street & Central Street”.
The Town posted:
Eversource will be conducting gas main replacement work at the intersection of Cherry Street and Central Street, beginning the week of August 24. The work is expected to take approximately 1–2 weeks and will involve replacing approximately 75 feet of existing gas main due to deteriorating pipe conditions. During construction, residents and motorists should expect one-lane alternating traffic through the work area. We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation while this important work is completed.
