As I posted earlier, Heritage Day is coming up in less than two weeks. Soccer loving kids and teens that are looking to earn a little glory may want to start practicing their penalty kicks.

As usual, the festivities on the Heritage Day field will include the popular “Soccer Challenge” put on by the Southborough chapter of The Knights of Columbus.

The competition will run from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on Monday, October 12th.

Anyone aged 6-16 years old is invited to shoot penalty shots on St. Mark’s field. Participation is free for all.

As usual, players are allowed to take 10 shots at the goal from the penalty line. Players are then scored for kicking goals into the marked corners of the goal nets. (See the image right for the scoring.) Medals will be awarded for high scoring participants.
