Friends of the Library Journal Fundraiser

Above: Buy journals for yourselves or as a gift, while supporting the library. (image from Library website)

The Friends of the Southborough Library know that reading and writing go hand in hand. . . and are thrilled to offer journals for all your note-taking, creative writing, and list-making needs!1

As Friends’ Secretary Mary Tinti promotes:

Think holiday gifts and stocking stuffers for all the readers, writers, students, teachers, and book club besties in your circle!

The cover of the 8×5″ journals sport a great quote for library lovers who also like journals:

“I kept always two books in my pocket, one to read, one to write in.”
— Robert Louis Stevenson

The cost is just $15 each. All funds raised will go directly to the Friends of the Southborough Library.

Orders will be collected online through the month of October, with free pickup at the Southborough Library available in early December. (Or, use the option to pay for shipping if you prefer to have your journals sent elsewhere.)

To order yours, visit bit.ly/sblibnotebooks2026

Note: If you want to give the library some extra love, you can also make an additional donation to the Friends through the fundraiser website, or directly here.

Thanks so much for letting our neighbors know about this great fundraiser, Beth! I’d like to add that Oct. 18-24 is National Friends of Libraries week, so this fundraiser is particularly timely. The Friends of the Southborough Library help to fund multiple ongoing projects and services not covered by the Library’s municipal budget. The budget we vote on annually at Town Meeting is not enough to fund all the wonderful Library programs and offerings used and loved by Southborough residents. And that’s where the Friends come in. The Friends of the Southborough Library help staff meet the changing needs of our community, organize and manage fundraising events (e.g., raise approximately over $4,000 for museum passes for library patrons each year), and pay for programs that encourage literacy and lifelong learning for children and adults. My Southborough readers can help the Friends by supporting our fundraisers and book sales, making direct donations, and/or becoming members! Visit https://www.southboroughlib.org/friends for more information. After all, we can never have too many friends!
