In the media: Southborough resident remembers Worcester Tornado

The Metrowest Daily News recently talked with Alice Phillipo who lived in Southborough when the Worcester Tornado hit 56 years ago last week.

“We were in the front part of the house when the tornado came in from the back (from the west),” she said. “When the thing came through, we could see some of the pieces of wood from people’s houses flying through the yard. We found pieces from somebody’s doghouse, and a chicken coop landed in our backyard.”

You can read more about Phillipo’s story in the Metrowest Daily News.
