In the 2006 statewide election, Southborough’s voter turnout was 71%, 10 points higher than the state average. (Trying to remember what was on the ballot in 2006? Hanley was a 30-year veteran firefighter and emergency medical technician who worked in both Sudbury and Framingham. Starting in November, Algonquin will undergo a 60-day, whole-building energy assessment by National Grid to address ways the school could use energy better. The evaluation will focus on mechanics and lighting, according to Facilities Director Michael Gorman who spoke at the Northborough-Southborough School Committee Meeting earlier this month.
