For the past several months, the Board of Selectmen and Police Chief Jane Moran have been negotiating in executive session on a new contract for the chief. The Metrowest Daily News reported this weekend, they were unable to reach agreement on a 3-year contract – the norm for most town department heads – and instead laid out a 1-year deal.
