Breaking: Southborough woman killed crossing Oak Hill Road

The Metrowest Daily News is reporting that a Southborough woman was killed last night when she was struck by a car as she crossed Oak Hill Road at the intersection with Route 9.
The woman’s name was not released, and few details are available, but you can read the news report here.

Wait and see approach considered for Algonquin debt assessment

Southborough town meeting voters last month rejected a compromise proposed by the regional school committee to resolve the Algonquin debt assessment issue. That means the issue remains unresolved.
The regional school committee on Wednesday night considered how to move forward. The Metrowest Daily News reports many favored a wait and see approach.

Selectmen reshuffle leadership

The Board of Selectmen has a new chairman. The three selectmen (actually two selectmen and one selectwoman) regularly rotate the position of chair, with each holding it for a year. The switch happens at the first meeting after the annual town election.
