Get started with genealogy at the Southborough Library

From the Southborough Library:

The October meeting of the Southborough Public Library Genealogy Club will be held Thursday, October 29 at 7:00 pm at the Library, 25 Main Street in Southborough. Russell Horne, of the Southborough Historical Society, will present some basic instruction on getting started in Genealogy. Jane Cain, Library Director, will coordinate a roundtable discussion for more advanced members and review the resources at the Library for doing your family search.

The Genealogy Club monthly meetings are for people of all skill levels. Meetings are free and open to the public. Learn how to research your genealogy on line and through traditional sources; how to organize what you have and how to develop your family’s history.

On Saturday, November 14, there will be a free day-long workshop on Beginning Genealogy, sponsored by the Library, in cooperation with the Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. This will be held at Memorial Hall of the Southborough Fire Station, 21 Main Street, Southborough.  Please call the library at 508-485-5031 to register, or for more information.

Gather up your family history notes and join us at the Southborough Public Library for the Southborough Public Library Genealogy Club this fall!
