Scott Brown takes Southborough by a wide margin

The results for Southborough are in, and Republican Scott Brown was the clear winner with 59% of the votes. Democrat Martha Coakley came in at 40%, and Independent Joe Kennedy got the remaining 1%.

Just over 69% of Southborough voters cast a ballot in the special election. Here are the numbers.

  • Scott Brown: 59% (2,689 votes)
  • Martha Coakley: 40% (1,845 votes)
  • Joseph Kennedy: 1% (33 votes)

Excellent news on the turnout! I’m happy the robo-calls will be over for awhile!
