The Thanksgiving day Gobble Wobble — now in its fourth consecutive year — has become a popular event in town, and this year is sure to be no exception. But not to worry, if you want to run or walk in the race, there’s still time to sign up. Here’s all the info from the Recreation Department:

Start your Thanksgiving Day off right! Get out and join Southborough Recreation for the 4th Annual Gobble Wobble Road Race to begin at the Trottier Middle School at 8:30am. This year our top sponsors are Long Automotive Group, Roche Bros., Trombetta’s Farm, and NRG Bar. You can go to http://friendsofsouthboro.com/index.htm to see additional sponsors of this years race.

Runners and walkers from Southborough and surrounding towns are invited to come and enjoy the fun. Proceeds from this race will benefit the “Friends of Southborough Recreation”, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting recreational activities for youths and families of the community.

Runners may sign up for the 5K road race and medals will be awarded to top male and female runners in each catagory. The two mile Family Walk will also begin at 8:30am. Event T-Shirts will be given to pre-registered athletes on a first come first serve basis and babysitting is available at the school from 8 to 9:30am for a nominal fee.

For children ages 3 to 11, there will be a Free Kid’s Fun Run beginning at 9:30. Kids will race around the track and will be grouped by age. Registration and a signed waiver are required for all children.

There will be an awards ceremony in the Trottier Gym at 10am. Registration and Pre-Registration pick-up will run from 7 to 8am. Registration for the 5K run or walk is $25 per person and may be done by mail or in person at Southborough Recreation, 21 Highland Street, Southborough, MA 01772 or on-line at www.runreg.com or in person the morning of the race.
