Bargain Box to begin accepting spring/summer donations next week

With the weather we’ve had lately, it certainly feels like spring cleaning time. If organizing closets is on your list this weekend, here’s something to do with all the clothes you no longer need. On Tuesday St. Mark’s Bargain Box will begin accepting donations and consignments in preparation for its seasonal opening later this month.

Located next to St. Mark’s Church, the Bargain Box has been in operation for more than 50 years. It’s open twice a year — once in the fall and once in the spring — and features clothing and accessories for men, women, and kids. Bargain Box proceeds benefit St. Mark’s parish.

The Bargain Box accepts women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing, hats, scarves, purses, shoes, belts, and ties, provided they are clean, in good repair, and currently stylish. Only items for spring and summer please.

Donations will be accepted Tuesday through Thursday (3/20-3/22) from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. See the Bargain Box Spring 2012 flyer for more dates and additional information.

The Bargain Box will open for purchasing on Thursday, March 29 at 10:00 am.
